Intro

Jodi Carey has been teaching yoga and movement since 2001. From an early age she was drawn to the performing arts as well as the mystic, having her first encounters with the divine at a protestant church in the lower east of NYC.  Today, Jodi is highly respected as an embodied teacher of spirituality and movement in Miami and considered a teacher of teachers internationally.

Throughout years of exploration in yoga, meditation, and shamanic arts, Jodi has developed an integrative approach to healing that liberates the individual on multi-dimensional levels.  She bridges ancient wisdom and intuitive capacities with modern day knowledge for a truly customized, healing experience.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.

Style.

According to some psychologists, the "flow" state is a heightened state of awareness cultivated through a delicate balance of physical and mental activity. Through this uninterrupted flow of attention we can begin to experience heightened states of meditation...space and time become elastic, we expand into pure presence and the result is "being moved" by a greater intelligence. One that transcends rational, conceptual knowledge.

This is what happens to me when I teach. With minimal planning and agenda, all is left is the complete presence of the present. It is within these moments of raw, intuitive presence-ing do I feel closest to the student, and ultimately to God.

I just go with the flow, so any style can be in my music - that makes it exciting.

Testimonials.

The spiritual journey is individual, highly personal. It can't be organized or regulated. It isn't true that everyone should follow one path. Listen to your own truth.”
